Losing a friend

TONY
“Phil, you’ll just never believe this.

“A friend of mine, his name was Jerry — I’ve known him for about 10 years — he got killed in an accident on Monday night. What’s unbelievable is that he was run over by a firetruck from 426 Division, and the guy driving the truck was the same guy in the same truck who saved my ass a few weeks ago when I got hit by that car. Anyway, the firetruck driver was so shaken up he couldn’t move the truck off my friend’s chest. Even the Chief couldn’t do it. Then the firetruck driver finds out it’s Jerry he just ran over, and he knew Jerry all the way back in high school.

“I can’t believe it myself.”

That connection is unreal! Only in Parkdale?

I was at the intersection where he died (I live right @ Queen & Lansdowne) and a fire truck passed slowly in front of there. The firefighters looked quite solemn.

Jerry was a good freind of mine I still can’t believe it myself. what still bothers me is Why they didn;t move that truck off jerry for so long. another thing i didn’t like was how the media had that jerry was homeless well he wasn;t homeless!! his family and friends was hurt by this comment. If you don’t have nice clothes or a lot of money ya have to be homeless?? and the person or person’s that damaged jerry’s memorial that was pretty low but hey god doesn’t like ugly!! we tried to replace it and we still had his memorial on monday night. thanks to all that attened. R.I.P Jerry -one love, your friend pam.
