PHILIP
“Maybe, what’s it to you?”
TONY
“Just checking. ”
PHILIP
“All right, she did.”
TONY
“So … ”

“So, excuuuse me.”
TONY
“Now that’s better.”
PHILIP
“Can we not discuss this anymore?”
TONY
“C’mon Phil, I’m just trying to help you with your manners.”
PHILIP
“Thank you for your help, Mr. Clemens.”
Hi everyone,
This is the 499th posting since we began our blog just a hair more than four years ago. [We (i.e., Philip) were too enthused to wait until the next one. ]
When we launched, so far as we knew, HomelessManSpeaks.com was the first blog to ongoingly express the words of an ongoingly homeless person.
Thank you to our many friends and readers. Your ongoing presence has provided us with a unique and extraordinary experience, weird as it has sometimes been. We expect more of the same.

Hi Everyone,
I just visited Tony at St. Joe’s. He’s got cancer, probably in the lungs, though it’s not certain if it’s in one lung or two — or even which lung. While I was there, the doctors took him for an x-ray, but I don’t know the results, — if any. In addition, he’s got heart problems, and an ugly hernia protruding from his upper abdomen. The three photos above is what he looked like at about 230pm today.
He seemed depressed and feared that they might release him.
Tony wants to thank Gwen and Cathy for coming to visit; the bananas were yummy.
More when I know.

“You see that lady over there? Just the other day, she was waving like crazy at this taxi but the guy didn’t even notice her. So I yelled at him real loud and he turned around and he picked her up. You know, the driver said thanks, even though I’m just a homeless guy … some of those cab drivers are pretty decent guys.”
