It’s a hard question. First, it’s not my responsibility to give a friend so expensive a gift. I wouldn’t do it for my other friends. Secondly, as Tony will aver, I’ve attempted — and occasionally succeeded — at helping him.
I do what I handle.

I think I know where Tony is coming from in his wish.
As for myself, I would like to live on an island – right in the middle of the 18th century.
